Unauthorized Use

Unauthorized Image Use

Protecting the rights of Contributors and the interests of Tahiti Stock Footage

Every image use is subject to copyright law.
Tahiti Stock Footage is committed to ensuring that all license deliveries are as accurate as possible.
Deterrence

Tahiti Stock Footage's primary objective is not to go to court if unauthorized image use occurs – we aim to avoid litigation whenever possible.

However, Tahiti Stock Footage will not hesitate to file a complaint if necessary, for deterrence purposes, if copyright and trademark infringement is proven, after contacting the user and warning them of the risks.

Unintentional Infringement

Unauthorized image use may sometimes be unintentional due to lack of knowledge of the law.

In such cases, Tahiti Stock Footage will inform and explain what copyright is and the risks involved, in order to convert this unintentional infringement into a license purchase.

Amicable dispute resolution will be preferred in all cases.

Monitoring Challenges

It is obviously very difficult to monitor the entire web and all image uses.

Unfortunately, we can expect some abuses to occur without being noticed.

Contributor Assistance

If Contributors notice fraudulent use of their images, they can inform Tahiti Stock Footage.

Joint legal action is possible against the infringer if Tahiti Stock Footage deems it worthwhile and if Tahiti Stock Footage's interests are affected. Tahiti Stock Footage will first verify the image traceability.

Individual action by the Contributor is also possible. Tahiti Stock Footage will assist the Contributor to the extent possible.

Important Notice for Contributors

If you upload the same images to different stock media platforms, it will be much more difficult to trace your images. Tahiti Stock Footage does not require exclusivity, but it is the Contributor's responsibility to make the right choices.
